Dr. Jake Ames

Professional Biography
Dr. Jake Ames brings a rare combination of conventional medical training, pathology experience, and integrative clinical study to his work with cancer, degenerative illness, allergies, and endocrine health.
He began his medical career at age 18 in the pathology department at the University of California, San Francisco, where he assisted with autopsies and developed an early interest in cancer biology, disease causation, and the question of why illness develops differently from one person to another. Before entering medical school, he had participated in more than 1,500 autopsies and had gained extensive exposure to neurological, cardiovascular, and oncological pathology.
Dr. Ames attended medical school at the University of the Caribbean in Montserrat, with additional clinical experience in London, England. During his time in England, he completed a placement at The Royal Marsden Hospital, one of the United Kingdom’s leading cancer hospitals.
He later completed a four-year anatomical and clinical pathology residency in New York City. His training included forensic pathology at Downstate Medical Center, neuropathology at Bellevue Hospital, and oncological pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Ames then continued his training in Internal Medicine at the University of Nevada in Reno. While there, he studied at the Resonance School of Homeopathy and received a doctorate in homeopathy. He later completed a one-year intensive acupuncture program at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Today, Dr. Ames lives in Pátzcuaro, Mexico, where he focuses on integrative approaches to oncology, degenerative diseases, allergies, and endocrinology. His work reflects a lifelong interest in understanding disease from the cellular, energetic, nutritional, and whole-person perspectives.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ames enjoys jazz piano, cello, violin, sacred geometry artwork, and hiking in the mountains. His sacred geometry artwork can also be viewed on this website.
